I. Product Characteristics

The product is a liquid, available in three packaging options: one-ton packages, 250kg drums, and bulk packaging.

Density: (20℃) 1.20-1.25 (g/cm3)

PH: (20℃) 8.00-9.50

Solid Content: 40-55 (%)

Suitable Dosage: 0.15-0.2%

II. Application Scope and Effects

Mainly suitable for the preparation of concrete admixtures.

When used in the preparation of admixtures by grinding, this activator can increase mill output and improve the particle size distribution of the admixture when the moisture content of the materials entering the mill is no more than 1%.

Using this activator in admixture production can accelerate the activation of mineral admixtures, improve admixture activity, and thus reduce the amount of mineral powder, fly ash, or cement in concrete, reducing concrete production costs.

IV. Characteristics of Using This Activator

1. The fluidity of the admixture will increase.

2. The time-dependent loss of neat cement paste fluidity is reduced.

3. The water requirement for standard consistency is slightly reduced.

V. Adding Method During Use

If no height adjustment is needed for the grinding aid, it can be added directly using a metering pump.

If height adjustment is required for feeding, it is generally added using a two-stage pump method. The schematic diagram is as follows:

 JT-H Series Admixture Activator

For companies using our grinding aid, we provide customers with storage tanks, related metering devices, and methods for testing and controlling the feeding amount.

VI. Precautions

1. This activator should be used after passing inspection. Inspection methods include:

1) A simple method is to test the density, PH value, and color, or solid content of the newly arrived activator and the sample of the activator that has been proven qualified after use under the same temperature conditions. When the two are within the error range, it can be considered qualified for use;

2) Using an additive-free admixture with the same composition as the produced admixture, a mortar strength test is conducted in the same laboratory using both the sample of the activator that has been confirmed as qualified after use and a sample of the newly arrived activator, according to the ratio of the admixture to cement in the concrete (e.g., if the cement usage in C30 concrete is 450kg/m³, and the admixture usage is 90kg/m³, then the ratio of admixture to cement is 1:5, and the mortar strength is mixed at a ratio of 1:5 during molding). When the three-day strength of the two is within the error range, it is considered qualified; the first method is generally used when using the activator continuously, and the second method is only used when there is a significant discrepancy in the quality of the activator.

2. During transportation and storage, prevent dropping, striking, external force compression, and proximity to high temperatures. The stacking height should not exceed two drums;

3. Check the company's label before opening the seal to ensure that the product and model are correct before use;

4. This product has a slight corrosive effect on the skin. Wash with water after skin contact, and it must not be ingested;

5. When using this product, if the ambient temperature is continuously below -5℃ for five consecutive days, insulation measures should be taken to prevent product crystallization from affecting normal use.

6. Shelf life: 12 months.

Within the sophisticated domain of modern concrete technology, the pursuit of enhanced performance, efficiency, and sustainability has led to the development of specialized chemical agents. Among these, the admixture activator plays a pivotal role, serving as a key component designed to optimize the effectiveness of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) like fly ash, slag, or silica fume. This specialized additive works by stimulating the latent hydraulic or pozzolanic properties of these materials, facilitating their more complete and timely reaction within the concrete matrix. The strategic use of an admixture activator can be instrumental in achieving specific concrete performance goals that might otherwise be challenging to reach with SCMs alone.

A primary technical advantage of employing an admixture activator is the significant improvement it can bring to the early-age strength development of concrete mixes high in SCMs. While SCMs contribute to long-term durability and ultimate strength, they often slow down the initial hydration process. An admixture activator helps mitigate this effect by providing the necessary chemical environment to accelerate reactions. This leads to faster setting times and higher early compressive strength, which is crucial for meeting construction schedules, enabling earlier formwork removal, and reducing project timelines without compromising the long-term benefits of SCM incorporation.

Beyond early strength, the use of an admixture activator contributes substantially to the enhanced durability and long-term performance of concrete structures. By promoting a more complete reaction of SCMs, it helps refine the concrete's pore structure, leading to reduced permeability. This denser microstructure improves resistance to chloride ion penetration, sulfate attack, and other deleterious processes. Consequently, concrete treated with an effective admixture activator often demonstrates extended service life, particularly in demanding environments such as marine settings or infrastructure exposed to de-icing salts, thereby reducing lifecycle maintenance costs.

From an economic and sustainability perspective, the benefits are interconnected and compelling. The admixture activator unlocks the potential to use higher volumes of industrial by-products like fly ash and slag as cement replacements. This directly reduces the clinker factor of the concrete, which is a major contributor to CO2 emissions in cement production. Economically, it allows for the formulation of cost-effective, high-performance mixes by maximizing the utility of often lower-cost SCMs. Therefore, the admixture activator acts as an enabler for producing greener concrete that aligns with sustainable construction goals while offering potential material cost savings.
