ZS-Marine Cement Grinding Aid
1. Product Introduction
What is ZS-Marine Cement Grinding Aid?
ZS-Marine Cement Grinding Aid is designed for marine-grade Portland cements used in environments prone to seawater corrosion—such as seaports, cross-sea bridges, wharves, and breakwaters—and complies with the GB/T 26748 standard. It meets the specific requirements for marine cement, including low chloride and alkali content, high sulfate resistance, and low heat of hydration. Formulated with a core blend of high-purity, sodium- and potassium-free alkanolamines and corrosion-inhibiting activity activators, the product addresses key challenges such as insufficient early strength, poor resistance to chloride ion penetration, difficulty in activating slag at high replacement levels, and grinding inefficiencies.
How Does It Work?
Optimized Dense Gradation (3-32 μm): Reduces cement water demand, increases hourly production output, and lowers grinding energy consumption. The resulting cement paste structure is denser, effectively blocking the ingress of seawater ions.
Low-Alkali Hydration Control: High-purity, low-alkali alkanolamines moderate the heat release during hydration, thereby reducing thermal shrinkage cracks in massive marine engineering structures.
Efficient Slag Activation: The additive efficiently activates slag, promoting the abundant formation of dense C-S-H gel that fills internal pores.
Corrosion Resistance Enhancement: It reduces calcium hydroxide content, inhibits erosion by magnesium salts and sulfates, blocks pathways for chloride ion penetration, and enhances long-term resistance to seawater corrosion, ensuring steady strength development without regression.

4. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is the optimal dosage determined?
A: The recommended range is 150g – 300g per ton of cement. Exact dosage depends on clinker grindability, mill type, target fineness, and SCM content. Our technical team can assist with mill trials.
Q: Will the heat of hydration increase and cause cracking in structural components?
A: No. It contains no heat-accelerating salts and results in a gradual release of heat during hydration, making it suitable for large-volume marine concrete pours and helping to reduce temperature-induced cracks.
Q: Can this product and the chromium-reducing agent be used together?
A: Yes. They are dosed via two independent metering systems without interfering with each other, simultaneously meeting low-chromium standards for both export and engineering projects.
Q: How should the product be stored?
A: Store in a sealed plastic container at room temperature. Protect from freezing in winter. Do not store with strong acid additives. Shelf life: 6 months.
