2. Customer Background
A cement company in Huangshan operates a φ4.2×13m combined grinding system producing M32.5 masonry cement. With low clinker content (61.5%) and high SCM loading, the customer sought to increase mill output and cement strength while maintaining the existing mix design.
3. Pain Points & Challenges
Low Clinker Ratio Makes Strength Enhancement Difficult: M32.5 masonry cement contains only 61.5% clinker with 38.5% SCM.
Mill Output Improvement Needed: Existing mill throughput was approximately 255 t/h.
Masonry Cement Has Special Requirements for Water Retention & Workability: The grinding aid must not negatively affect mortar consistency or application properties.
4. Solution
In December 2024, Shengchuan's technical team conducted a ZS-Masonry Cement Grinding Aid industrial trial on the customer's φ4.2×13m combined grinding system. Developed for low-clinker masonry cement, the core formulation includes water-retention components, foam-stabilizing air-entraining agents, and a mild alkanolamine strength-enhancement system.
Grinding Aid Model: ZS-Masonry Cement Grinding Aid
Dosage: 1,000g/t (0.10%)
Mix Proportion: Clinker 61.5%, gypsum 8%, furnace slag 15.5%, limestone 15%, externally added slag powder 8% (unchanged throughout)
Trial Method: 8-hour blank trial + 168-hour continuous comparison trial

6. Case Summary
After adopting ZS-Masonry Cement Grinding Aid, M32.5 masonry cement mill output increased from 255 t/h to 285 t/h (↑30 t/h), 3-day strength improved by 2.7 MPa, and 7-day strength improved by 4.0 MPa. Under low clinker ratio (61.5%) conditions, the product achieved significant output increase and strength enhancement.
7. Application Recommendations
Suitable Conditions: M32.5/M22.5 masonry cement production lines with high SCM loading and low clinker ratio, seeking output increase and strength enhancement.
Recommended Dosage: 1,000g/t.
Expected Results: Output increase of 10%–15%; 3-day strength improvement of 2–3 MPa; 7-day strength improvement of 3–5 MPa.
