The Red Bull Arena is located near the center of Leipzig, which faces significant flood risks due to the convergence of the Wei?e Elster, Plei?e, and Parthe rivers. In order to counteract the damage to the new bui lding, seal ing work was carried out up to approximately 60 centimeters high for non-basement new buildings. The chief planner explicitly required the use of a new generation of self-healing waterproofing agents developed by Professor Plank for this sealing work, which was implemented by spraying with a pump.
