The bridge, which opened in 2017, is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world and required extensive waterproofing measures to protect it from the harsh marine environment. BSM self-healing impermeable agent was used to waterproof the joints in the concrete deck of the bridge, to provide a durable, long-lasting waterproofing solution that can withstand the harsh marine environment. The agent is a liquid material that is applied to the concrete surface of the bridge deck using a spray nozzle.
